Overcoming Fears & Nightmares

Turn Nightmares Into Happy Dreams!

Girl sleeping in bed with her DadThis story follows two baby squirrels called Jack and Dolly as they embark on a journey that teaches them how to nightmares into happy dreams and to not be afraid of the dark.

Young children predominantly operate in what is known as the Alpha State of Mind and their subconscious receptivity and imagination are heightened. Because of this, many children have problems with nightmares and bad dreams because their mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is make believe.

This is often further heightened by exposure to concepts like the 'boogie man', monsters in their closet and that bad things happen in the dark. Although adults know that these are fictitious concepts, many children do not. It takes time for some children to grasp the concept of this and as such fears begin to build in their subconscious that manifest in nightmares.

This story is designed to teach children that bad dreams are not real and that it is just in their imagination. It shows them through a metaphorical story the difference between real and imaginary and how to control this. It helps them let go of deeply rooted fears and replace them with new and more positive ways of thinking.

This audio program also gives children the power to control their dreams and to 'step in' and point them in a more positive direction when nightmares begin to start. Further to this, this CD or MP3 will give them the ability to remain calmer and in control if they do happen to experience a nightmare and to 'switch off' if this happens.

This story is useful to help with children who:

  • Experience bad dreams and nightmares
  • Wet their bed
  • Have trouble sleeping because of fear
  • Cannot grasp the difference reality and fiction
  • Are afraid of the dark
  • Are scared of monsters, the boogie man or other fictional characters
  • Have an overactive imagination manifesting negative thoughts

Self confidence issues are also a major cause of nightmares. This is because a lack of self esteem leads to manifestation of negative thoughts and adopting fears more easily. On this story is some metaphorical techniques to help children improve their self confidence and take control over what they think of themselves and their environment at the deepest level.

Nightmares can also cause of bed wetting issues

Often addressing the nightmares and confidence issues can assist with helping children not wet their bed also.

By adopting a more confident, realistic and empowered view on the things around them during the day can help a child to have a better night's sleep without nightmares. Remove the fear, the misunderstanding and the illusion and your child will sleep soundly.

To use this program simply play it every night just before your child goes to sleep of a night time or during the day. Use it at least once a day for 6 to 8 weeks with every 7th day allocated as a 'break day' where they do not have to use the recording.

Children love listening to this story, and with repeated use, the positive metaphorical messages will move them beyond nightmares and into positive and empowered sleeping habits.
