Power Hypnosis Training Melbourne - 27-29 March 2009
Rapid Inductions from Masterful Old Fashioned Sources
By Andrew Reay
If there was one word that could be used to encapsulate the three day Power Hypnosis Training by Mind Motivations’ Rick Collingwood - it would be hypnofusion…..
Now many of you reading this may be thinking, what is hypnofusion? Allow me to put your minds at rest, there is no such word.
And your subconscious mind knows that if there was a word that could be linked to the knowledge gained at the training that word would be hypnofusion … and your conscious mind would know, that hypnofusion is the joining together of centuries old wisdom from such great pioneers of consciousness and researchers of phenomena: Memser, Kerner, Braid, Esdaile and bringing that knowledge into the 21st Century with modern thought, research and insight.
The training was a powerful combination of knowledge from the past, in many cases, knowledge overlooked by the passage of time and the inevitable lapsing of book publications and print runs, which had been resurrected within a modern framework to its rightful place as still valid and powerful techniques to induce the state of hypnosis.
Participants soaked up the richly worded and descriptive techniques utilised by Memser in 18th Century Europe: the use of magnetic plates, the “Memser Vats” and the “Mesmer Trances”. Rick elucidated how he carefully crafted the teachings of Memser into his day to day hypnosis practice and presented anecdotal evidence of the results obtained.
Weaving his extensive knowledge of the mind-body connection and energy, Rick presented his views of the current issues facing those of us working with people and facilitating change in peoples lives.
The techniques covered in the training included:
- Eye Lock Induction
- The Braid Method of Induction
- Hand Slip Induction
- Finger Slip Induction
- Hand Shake Induction
- Direct gaze Induction
- Deepening Techniques
Rick provided valuable insights into maintaining the hypnotists “power” in the clinic situation: the power of suggestion right from the start, ensuring the client is carefully directed every step of the way to achieve a desired outcome.
Other topics covered in the three days were:
- How to develop the self confidence required for rapid inductions
- How to overcome and override subject resistance
- Pyramiding inductions to deep states of trance
- Deepen rapid inductions to coma states
- How to use rapid inductions in a clinic situation
With support from Michael Werts, the Power Hypnosis Training was an empowering three days: gaining the knowledge, the confidence and also most importantly, the practical experience to put the skills to test.
For those of us who had never seen Rick Collingwood as a trainer, hypnotist or hypnotherapist, it was agreat experience. As one of the 40 odd practitioners from many professional walks of life, it was a pleasure to meet Rick and see him in action, to network and meet so many of Melbourne’s hypnotists and other practitioners.
For those of you who may have missed the training, if you want to learn rapid inductions, from someone who has researched them, used them extensively and you feel like undergoing “hypnofusion” by bringing the old knowledge to the 21st Century, then this training is a must. Watch for it at interstate venues.
